Hazrat Hamza (RA) was born in Makkah, Saudia Arabia in 570 CE. His father was Abdul Mutallib, who was also the father of Hazrat Abdullah (father of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), which made Hazrat Hamza (RA) the paternal uncle of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He was a member of the Quraish tribe and enjoyed an honorable position in society. He was famous for his unmatchable strength and courage. Not, only this but he was also liked by the people of Makkah due to his kind and humble behavior. Hazrat Hamza (RA) was one of the closest companions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). As he was a respectable personality of Makkah and when he accepted Islam, many other people of Makkah followed his footprints and turned towards Islam. He was martyred during the Battle of Uhud, and he was initially buried at the site of the battle. However, the specific location has not been preserved or identified.
