Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib [may God be pleased with him] was the son-in-law of Prophet Muhammad [peace be upon him] and is an important historical figure in Islam. He is the first Muslim. The sects of Shias and Sunnis respect Hazrat Ali, respected and he is regarded among Muslims for his courage, integrity, beliefs, honesty, and devotion to Islam. Therefore, the Sunnis consider him the fourth Rashidun Caliph, while the Shias regard him as the foremost Caliph and Imam after Prophet Muhammad.
Father’s Day in Persian calendar coincides with the birth anniversary of Shia Muslims’ first Imam Ali (AS) which is Rajab 13 in Hijri calendar.
